During Germany's attack
on the Norwegian capital
on April 9. 1940, the Royal
Family and the government
managed to escape. German
Fallshirmjägers soon set off in
pursuit to capture them.
The Norwegian Royal Guards
managed to stop the german
advance by hard resistance at
Midtskogen, near the city
Elverum where the King was
situated.
